In honor of International Women’s Day, Momentum is hosting BoldeReach - a local non-profit run by a diverse group of women, who came together in 2003, to improve the health, education, economic stability, safety and social equality of women and children in extreme need around the world. Instead of creating a new relief organization, BoldeReach decided to seek out existing programs and organizations that are already making a positive impact and to raise funds for them.
Each year, BoldeReach selects a cause and a specific organization to support; this year's cause is displaced children and orphans and the selected organization is Global Education Fund. This Boulder based non-profit’s mission is to improve the lives of orphans and vulnerable children around the world through education.
To date, BoldeReach has raised over $400,000 for such international issues as girls’ education in Afghanistan, programs to prevent child trafficking, clean water and sanitation, microcredit and grants to help women’s rights activists. You are invited to come learn more about this inspiring non-profit.

Create a calm, relaxed atmosphere with the distinct beach inspired colors and sounds of Zen Zen’s capiz wind chimes and Balinese umbrellas. Zen Zen is dedicated to supporting the Balinese traditional arts through their eco-friendly and fair trade business practices. The capiz shells, used on their chimes and umbrellas, are sustainably harvested by a local family who, after only three years of working with Zen Zen, were able to afford a home for the first time.
Irma Rodriguez, from the Denver-based Ladies’ Sewing Circle, spent Valentine’s Day at Momentum creating her lavender sachets. During this special V-Day event, customers placed secret love messages inside the sachets. The highlight of the day, for the Momentum staff, was witnessing eager children compose Valentine notes to their parents.
A big thank you to everyone who helped us share the love on Valentine’s Day because we we raised over $100 for The Ladies Sewing Circle.
